I'm Riding For
Elena
Lena is one tough kid!! The daughter of a friend of mine who I met in Navy bootcamp, Lena was born with anomalies then diagnosed with Bohring-opitz syndrome at age 1. In September of 2018, she was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer (hepatoblastoma). She needed to undergo chemo and in December that year needed a partial liver resection. Lena was finally done with chemo and beginning of remission in March 2019. She will have quarterly checkups until age 8 because, although Lena had cancer in her liver, her syndrome can present cancer in kidneys. Lena is still in remission and rocking the cancer-free life like a little boss!! GO LENA!!!!
My Story
To see if your employer will match your donation please visit this page:
https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Pages/fundraising/fundraising/matching-gifts
I am completing the Great Cycle Challenge again because cancer is STILL the largest killer of children from disease in the United States.
My challenge will be tough, but it's nothing compared to what Lena and her family have gone through, or what other brave kids and their families face every day of their lives as they battle this terrible disease.
Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.
And so I am continuing this challenge to end childhood cancer and save important lives.
300 miles will be tough (especially with my crazy work schedule), but your donations are worth it to me!!!
Please support me by making a donation today.
All funds raised will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to continue their work to develop innovative treatments and find a cure.
Thank you for your support.
Cheers, Chantal
