“Your riding for this type of charity is something I’m engaged in.
In the mid-1940s when doctors would make their rounds and see children with blood borne cancers who only had months to live. They would say, “Thats really too bad.” There was literally nothing they could do for them. Dr. Sidney Farber of what is now the Dana Farber cancer hospital in Massachusetts was instrumental in devoting his life towards finding cures for these children.
As a cancer survivor, I have much sympathy for a child who hasn’t had and may not have had as long of a life as I have so far. I donate a modest amount each year to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
I’ve had anywhere between a half a million to three quarters of a million dollars’ worth of medical treatment over the last two years and it hasn’t cost me a dime.
I am honored to help pay it forward to help these children out.
