Caitlyn Reece

While not a child, my wife is a survivor of triple negative breast cancer. She has walked the journey that comes along with such a diagnosis. Seeing what she went through is what inspires me to do whatever I can to help others, especially children that have to also walk the journey that comes along with being diagnosed with cancer.

My Story

This September, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer.

Why? Because cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death in children in the United States. Every year, over 15,700 kids are diagnosed, and tragically, 38 children lose their lives to cancer each week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

This cause is deeply personal to me. While not a child, my wife is a survivor of triple negative breast cancer. I’ve seen firsthand the toll a diagnosis takes — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Her strength through that journey inspires me every day to do what I can to make a difference.

That’s why I’m riding and raising funds to support the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. The money raised helps fund lifesaving treatments and accelerates the search for a cure, giving kids the chance at the bright, healthy future they deserve.
