I'm Riding For

My Story
No better time to get back on my bike after fracturing my pelvis than in September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness month!
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
I am also a pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant nurse and see what the kids and families go through every day! Their battles are something I learn from and hope to support them through during their time in the hospital. I have witnessed so many triumphs but also so many defeats. I am committed to ride 300 miles in September to bring awareness and to raise money for our little fighters!
