I'm riding for a little girl named Tori & all the Kids who are diagnosed with cancer. Tori cancer was discovered months after she was born. She has fought cancer and endured treatments for over 2 years and is winning!! She is a tough little girl and she & her family are my inspiration, as are all the GCC Kids & their families <3

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

  • Getting back on the bike

    As some of you know I've been off the bike for a few months rehabbing a couple injuries, but I'll be back riding for the Kids starting in August hopefully.

    I'm looking forward to getting out to Kick Cancers Butt for the Kids again this year! 10th year participating 😀

  • Riding for little Sloane

    3-year-old Sloane was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma in October 2022.

    Shortly after her diagnosis, she endured a 12-hour surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible. Her kidney and adrenal gland were also removed.

    Sloane was in hospital for 59 days, which included three separate stays in the intensive care unit.

    It's been almost 2 years since her diagnosis, and Sloane has experienced more procedures, pokes and prods than most people do in a lifetime.

    In addition to invasive surgeries, Sloane has endured 7 rounds of chemotherapy, 15 days of radiation therapy, 12 rounds of immunotherapy and more.

    She also became malnourished early in treatment due to the chemotherapy suppressing her appetite, so she needed to have a nasogastric (NG) tube inserted.

    But through it all, Sloane never stopped fighting (or smiling). ❤️

    Thankfully, Sloane is now officially in remission and has now finished up with all chemotherapy treatments

    This brave girl has come so far, but she will continue to deal with treatment side-effects for years to come. 😢

    Her immune system may never make a full recovery, meaning that minor viruses or infections could quickly become very serious.

    Sloane should be living life, not fighting for it.

  • 10th Year Anniversary with the Great Cycle Challenge

    The Great Cycle Challenge for 2024 is starting soon. I'm looking forward to riding 300 miles (or more!) in the month of September for this important cause; this will be my tenth year participating!! Please help me raise funds to fight Kids Cancer, research helps all of us in the long run. Let's help Kick Cancers Butt for the Kids 🧡💙 😀
