My Story

Hi, I'm Kylie! I'm 8 years old and LOVE playing outside with my brother and sister!

2 years ago, I found out I had stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that's really hard to treat.

It all started after my 6th birthday, when I began feeling really tired and had a lot of pain in my hips and legs. Pretty soon, I couldn't even walk, and my mom had to push me in a stroller to all my doctor appointments. After a lot of tests, the doctors told me I had cancer that had spread to different parts of my body.

Since then, I've been super brave through chemo, radiation, and more tests than I can count. My doctors are giving me the newest treatments they can to help me fight this cancer.

My parents say it's hard because there's not enough research for kids like me. They hope one day, with more funding, there will be better, safer treatments that can help kids survive longer.
