My Story

Hi Everyone,

I’m doing it again! I'm riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer and my goal is to do 400 miles throughout the month of September (modest, but doable for an old guy). My financial goal is to raise at least $500—which I will personally kick in. If you’d like to kick in a few bucks that’d be great.

There are so many causes that deserve our attention and this one is certainly at the top of any such list. I’m lucky enough to have three adorable young grandsons who, thank god ( . . . okay, even though I’m a cheerful, tolerant atheist I still like to use that adage), are all quite healthy and well fed. Even so, I can’t help but weep for families who have to experience the heartbreak of a child’s illness.

All funds raised will support the Children's Cancer Research Fund. None of the money will go to my Porsche Cayman S maintenance account, OR to my favorite bourbon distillers, OR to my favorite cigar makers . . . I PROMISE! We just want to find a cure for childhood cancer.
