My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

    I've officially completed my ride goal for this challenge! Due to several rainy days this month, I had to drive my car to work and find other opportunities to ride my bike. But I was able to complete 83.4 miles today. Can you help me reach my $500 fundraising goal? I'm still $326 away, with only a few days left!

    Yesterday I started riding for this challenge. I rode some around town for a meeting and then out for some groceries. I put the baskets on my bike so that I can stop for stuff if needed whenever I'm out and about. I plan to ride to work this month only on my bike and keep my car parked at home. Here's hoping for good weather!
