My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

18 Sep 2024As a new cycler, I'm not yet confident to ride on wet pavement/roads. Today was an indoor cycle day at Onelife Fitness. Knocked out 10 miles making it a great workout.

10 Sep 2024Take 2! Afternoon and new location. Going for a nice light and easy 5 miles today... or so I thought. 'Rona, what did you do to my lungs?! Was that really me wheezing at 2 miles on a bike?! 🤧 Why is my HR over 190 bpm?! 😭 Well, this challenge is going to be more challenging than anticipated! Thank goodness I have another doctors appointment tomorrow!

COVID
30 Aug 2024Unfortunately, I won't be able to ride the first full week in September. COVID has hit the house. My daughter recovered after 3 days. I'm still fighting it off. Hopefully, these meds will do it's thing and I can get back on the road.
