My Story

During the month of September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Over 15,700 US children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Again this year, I am raising funds in memory of my young cousins Rowan Grace and Bailey. My ride challenge is focussed on helping other kids/young adults and supporting Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

GCC 3+ - Castlewood short rides (sprain)

After crashing on Ride 2, instead of building up distance, sadly I’ll be doing shorter rides for awhile. (6.2 and later 2.9 mile rides at Castlewood on paved paths today) Sprained and bruised L thumb/palm/wrist and bruised scraped mid R fingers. Some knee scrapes and minor back pain. But I’ll ride through it mildly for the kids that sadly suffer with so much more pain and sickness.

Stupid Maneuver of mine caused me to fall with minor injuries – sprained thumb/wrist and scraped knees, foot and knuckles. GCC kids are so brave and have so much more pain, that mine are nothing.
