Gus the Warrior

From Gus' Mom - Gus fought stage IV neuroblastoma for thee and a half years. He won his battle and ran into the arms of Jesus on November 23, 2022 at six years old. Gus went through almost every treatment that was available to kids and it still wasn't enough. Our kids deserve better treatments. They deserve cures. Funding childhood cancer research is a way you can help! The government doesn’t provide a lot of money for childhood cancer research, so it’s up to us to help our kids. My Story

This year I am riding in memory of Augustus. Gus. Augustus the Warrior. The strongest fighter I have ever known.

Some of you know that I have ridden for Gus the last 4 Summers. Gus has been a real trooper and a true Warrior throughout his battles. Unfortunately, cancer was too much for this brave young man, and Gus lost his battle over a year ago.

Gus had been doing very well with his treatments, and tried some experimental treatments in hopes of finding the right cure. This did not help Gus, but the scientists were able to continue their research from what they learned from Gus.

By supporting my rides, you can help fund continued research in trying to find a cure for this horrible disease.

I have accepted the Great Cycle Challenge, for my buddy Gus again this year, and ask that you consider a donation to this wonderful cause, so that we can find a cure the beast that Gus battled every day.

It is my goal to ride 200 miles in the month of September, for Gus and his wonderful family. And for Gus' battle buddies, fighting the same war as he did.
