I'm Riding For
Isabella Auer
Ella was my best friend. She passed away 2 days before my 17th birthday. We used to speak Tolkien's Elvish language to each other and I haven't found someone yet who speaks it as well as she did. We talked about the writings we would publish in high school and eventually became published authors. I continue to write for her today. She was one of the brightest lights I’ve ever seen on this earth. She taught me what it is to be truly brave and I try to emulate her joy every day. Rest in Peace, Ella. You are remembered always.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
My best friend died of DIPG when I was 16. We would build our castles in the air, but I never figured that hers would end up suddenly so so very far away from mine--Way up in the clouds. I didn't get to say goodbye to her and sometimes I feel I barely got to say hello. That's what cancer does. No one should have to go through that alone, fighting for their lives where they should be living. That's why we ride every fall to raise research funds.
Ella and I were fellow writers. We shared miles and miles of inspiration. We were both crazy Tolkienites. We would speak Tolkien's Elvish language back and forth, and to this day, I have never found another who speaks it as well as she did. My knowledge of the language has died out some, but I strive to remember it for her. Eventually, we both published some stories, and I continue to write for her legacy. I feel that every time I sit down to write, she is standing behind me, encouraging, approving, and helping me create the best stories that I can. My books are dedicated to her memory. Ella, Elen síla lúmenn’ omentielvo! One day, again.
I am raising money through my cycle challenge to help these kiddos and support the Children's Cancer Research fund, which will allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please, please support me by making a donation to give these kids the bright future that they deserve. My team rides for Ella, for all those who struggled like her, and for those who are still fighting bravely.
Your support will save lives. Let’s be superheroes, each in our own unique way, and give these kids a chance!
Thank you and God Bless you,
Trinity

This year
7 Sep 2024Hello everyone!! This year I will be running my miles instead of biking them as my bike is in a bit of a shabby state! I used to run 6-8 miles a couple times a week and want to work up to that again. I look forward to fighting childhood cancer with you all. 🤗
Best,
Trinity
