They said it wasn’t raining…they lied
But, in the hope that the weather might change I forged on to Whitehall MD to get the last 18mi in to reach my goal
Light rain, I sat in the car trying to decide just how bad I really wanted to get 18 in today…but, tis my commitment to both the donors and the kids…
Alas, the awesome tree-covered trail, kept the droplets at bay. And eventually no drops were falling at all
Took me 86min to go 11mi from Whitehall to New Freedom (you don’t SEE the elevation change, but it sure gets harder to pedal!)
But…going back it took less than hour for the same distance!!
Thank you all for pushing me!

Rain almost thwarted my effort.
But it cleared up this evening and I got 12 more in. Rain forecast the next few days 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

Was in Christiana (DE) for something, and decided to get my miles in
GPS took me to the Pomeroy “trail head”, I parked and began my ride
1. Trail is through UoDeleware campus: lots of student foot traffic on a Monday midday
2. Odometer on bike stopped working (had to go by my watch)
3. When the trail DID get to “woods”, it quickly ended with “closed due to maintenance” so I had to circumvent and navigate streets/cars/hills
4. It then started sprinkling
5. Got back to my car to find a $67 parking violation ticket. (Seems I was in a UoD parking lot and not “just” the trail head
Sigh. At least I got 8mi in

Gorgeous day, found myself in Timonium and only a couple miles away from the start of the Torry C Brown trail.
No afternoon plans, I decided to ride till I found a place to eat: seems most places on the trail are closed during the week, so at MM 11 I turned around
Still got 22.2mi in so I’m not complaining!

So my fellow rider went and did 12 while I was playing golf.
I’m glad she did, cause it pushed ME to do the same this evening!!
Not quite halfway there…but on my way
