Last night/early evening, I had the privilege of being on the news here in the town of Wilmington North Carolina. It was my honor to tell my story of being a cancer survivor and being diagnosed at a very young age. Especially in a time when medical technology was not even available yet. It was a little bit of a bummer that my segment was very short, but spreading the message and awareness of cancer ♋️ and its impacts on people and young children was the real highlight and mission of the story. I am truly so grateful and honored to be a part of this initiative and mission of this great nonprofit organization!!!

It’s hard to believe that this is my 4th year doing this powerful initiative in supporting children’s cancer research and awareness. Seems like just yesterday I was doing this challenge for the first time. As a cancer survivor from 30+ years ago, being fully paralyzed on one side of my body and now being back to full strength and knowing what it’s like to go through the pain and suffering, I can only but surely have feelings for these innocent children who are suffering today from this deadly disease!!!
