The majority of my ride time and mileage wise was peaceful and uneventful. However as I was riding along the road back to my house I spotted a horse doing only what I can describe as trying to get my attention. Not sure how I knew that but it made me take a closer look as I rode closer to him along the fence. Sure enough he had his leg stuck in the wire fencing. I stopped and wondered how I was going to help him as I had no tools with me. But fifteen minutes of negotiating with the fence and the horse’s leg, I was able to free him. He thanked me by running as fast as he could to the other side of the field. No worries. lol. When I got home my daughter was waiting for me, she is almost 8 and wanted to ride with me. So off we went. We have steep gravel hills we have to traverse in order to get to the main road. She is not quite strong enough to ride to the top of our big hill yet so we walked the bikes up. We got on and started to ride down the hill. I rode ahead and when I got to the bottom looked back to see where she was. She was still at the top. Soon though she started down and all went fine for about 90% of the hill when right near the bottom she got the death wobble and wiped out. A bit bloody but but nothing serious. However we did call the rescue vehicle (mom’s Tahoe) and she rode back home. I missed logging all of a mile of my ride but no biggie. Just glad she was not hurt too bad.
