Going from cycling 0 times a week to 4-5 times a week is quite an adjustment. The human body is quite the machine, but still muscles need plenty of time to repair after a workout. Some days, even emotionally you can't bring yourself to get out on the trail/road. So maintaining this consistency has certainly been the biggest challenge for me! Having a purpose to work towards really gives an extra push to actually drag myself out of my crypt and put my feet to those pedals. It's also so rewarding to watch those mileage numbers go up every time I ride and I will say my mental health now compared to the beginning of this month has drastically improved. It's safe for me to say that I will continue pushing myself to keep this cycling habit, even through the cold months! I would encourage everyone to get on a bicycle and just do a few miles every day until it feels like more effort to give up than it does to keep going.

I wanted to contribute myself towards something that could remind me of how precious life really is. This was it, and it has propelled me into a driven mind to raise funds for something greater than me. All children should be allowed to be children and not have to suffer and worry about their health every day. We have the technology for this. The greatest boundary is money. For something this precious, that is heartbreaking. So, we will raise funds and morale and inform everyone we know about this cause because it is simply the right thing to do.
