Today I dedicated 12.4 miles to Steve Parisi in honor of his generous donation to my Great Cycle Challenge.
Steve is an awesome human, a Lightning lover, and one of the best pizza makers around! But to my family, he is also someone who showed up when we needed support most!
During Ali’s treatment, Steve hosted a fundraiser to help her and our family. After Ali passed away, he stepped up again and hosted another fundraiser to help with the bills left behind.
Those acts of kindness are things you don’t forget.
Now, as I ride this challenge in Ali’s memory and raise money for childhood cancer research, Steve has once again shown his support through his donation.
I’m incredibly grateful for everything he has done for my family over the years and for his continued support of a cause that means so much to us!
Today’s 12.4 miles were for you, Steve. Thank you for showing up for Ali, for our family, and for helping me keep riding in her memory. 💛🎗️🚴♀️
Last year I rode in this challenge in honor of my cousin, Aliyah, as she was fighting a rare childhood cancer called Osteosarcoma. This year I am riding in her memory. As this challenge began last year, she had started her clinical trial. Shortly after, she had passed away and the world seemed to pause. Please consider donating to support childhood cancer research!!
