To the people who do more than just train together. The ones who celebrate the good stuff, walk through the hard stuff, push each other when we need it, and show up for each other through all the seasons of life.
We laugh, we struggle, we celebrate, we cry in loss together, we have bad days, and we keep moving forward together. I’m incredibly grateful for the people who make this life a little better simply by being in it.
So today, I carried that gratitude with me.
While these miles are dedicated to the people who have been in my corner, they’re being done for the kids. For the kids this fundraiser supports, for the families who love them, and for the hope that these miles can help make a difference in their lives.
My people give me plenty of reasons to keep showing up. The kids facing cancer give these miles the real purpose 🎗️💛
Today’s 3 mile Echo bike ride was dedicated to Katie Hageboeck 💛
I’ve been doing my rides in honor of the people who have donated to my Great Cycle Challenge, but today I wanted to ride for the little girl whose generosity helped start all of this!
In 1979, Katie was just 13 years old and battling leukemia. She had saved $141 to buy herself a red 10-speed bike, but before she passed away, she asked that the money be donated to help other kids with cancer instead. That gift helped become the foundation for what is now Children’s Cancer Research Fund.
Katie never got the chance to ride that bike. Now thousands of us ride for her and for kids like her every September. 🥹💛
So today I added 3 miles for Katie, for Ali, and for every kid who deserves the chance to grow up and ride their own bike.

I’m so thankful to work for someone who puts in the hard work, goes out of his way to support everyone in the office, and keeps protein snacks on hand so I don’t get hangry 😂

3.57 miles to reflect on the children facing childhood cancer diagnoses and treatment instead of getting to just live carefree lives. 3.57 miles thinking about 9/11 and Charlie Kirk’s murder. 3.57 miles to pray, reflect, and remember God’s faithfulness and beauty in every story—even the hard ones.
