I am 67 years old and this is my first blog, not sure what a blog is.
I was asked why I am doing the ride, specifically 1000 miles.
Simple answer, to show cancer kids are important. To let them and everyone else know challenges are difficult. Not impossible.
Will it be hard some days?
Yes.
Will it be easy some days?
Maybe.
Each day will be different in the obstacles presented. Some days I will be tired, some days I won't feel like doing it. But I will. I have a choice, Cancer Kids don't.
I have two wonderful dogs that will keep me going and a supportive wife.
This month, I am riding 500 miles in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
And my challenge starts TODAY!
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Please support my challenge through my fundraising page:

All funds raised will support Children's Cancer Research Fund to develop treatments and find cures for childhood cancers.
Last week I was diagnosed with Melanoma. I changed the miles from 1000 to 500 due to the treatments. It is nothing compared to what these children are going through, I will ride for them.
