The challenge begins September 1st. The miles may be mine, but the mission belongs to so many. 🚴🏾♀️💛
This September, I’ll be getting on my bike for the Great Cycle Challenge, joining cyclists across the country who are riding to help fight childhood cancer.
For me, this challenge is about much more than riding a certain number of miles. Every pedal stroke represents hope and every mile is a reminder of the children and families facing something no child should ever have to endure.
Why I’m Riding
First and foremost, to remember and honor my Lil Kelsey MooMoo. 💕
Childhood cancer changes everything—not only for the child, but for parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, and entire communities.
I’m riding for the children who are currently fighting.
I’m riding for the families standing beside them.
I’m riding in memory of precious children, like my Lil MooMoo, who are now at home in Heaven.
I’m riding because their stories, their love, and their impact continue to live on.
There are children whose lives have touched others in ways they may never know. Their earthly time may have been far too short, but their light does not disappear. 💛
My Personal Commitment
I know firsthand that putting a fundraiser out on social media doesn’t always mean donations will come pouring in. And that’s okay.
This year, I decided that regardless of whether anyone else donates, I will personally contribute $50 to my own ride. 🤫
Because I don’t want my ability to raise money to determine whether I show up for the mission.
I can ride.
I can give.
I can raise awareness.
And most importantly, I can help deliver hope.
More Than Miles
Cycling has always represented movement to me, but this challenge gives those miles an even greater purpose.
There will be days when the ride feels easy and days when my legs remind me that I’m working. There will be miles that fly by and miles that feel much longer.
But I’ll remember why I started.
One mile. One child. One family. One powerful reminder that hope is worth riding for.
If you would like to support my Great Cycle Challenge ride, your donation—no matter the amount—can help contribute to the fight against childhood cancer.
if donating isn’t possible, that’s okay too.
Share my story. Cheer me on. Send encouragement. Pray for the children and families.
Sometimes support doesn’t come in the form of dollars. Sometimes it comes in the form of simply helping someone know they aren’t riding alone.
September Starts the Journey
When September arrives, I’ll hop on my bike, start logging those miles, and remember that this ride is about something much bigger than me.
I’ll ride with purpose.
I’ll ride with gratitude.
I’ll ride with hope.
I’ll ride for the children. 💛🚴🏾♀️
The challenge begins in September.
I’m on a mission 😊
