The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Miles

I want to first thank you all for their devotion to the kids and the true fight that they are going through. We have had an exceptional year in fund raising for the GCC.

At the end of week 3 ,I was stricken with the latest designer sickness and taken away from my stride to go the 1000 miles. I am better now and started to ride again. At this writing I am at 718 miles. I know that the GCC allows us to ride into October still accumulating miles on their site, but the real month comes up short. I know it's not the miles this is about but the kids and for that we have done our job to make a dent in the fund raising and an awareness of the fight that the kids are going through. Again, thank you so much for your generosity. I am amazed at my friend's and coworkers' ability to pull out the stops for the kids.

Here's to year 9

Today like so many others I remember the faces now gone from the impact of the Towers.

My friend Rene Davila was a first responder who rushed in. Only later to succumb to PSD.

He was such a great coach and motivator. Heralded by his peers as a “coaches coach”. We swapped ride designs and music and looked forward to the next time we’d get together for the Spinning Conference in Florida.

@We said goodbye the last time after a long distance phone call. Today while I ride the GCC I ride it for Rene.

Wow 🤯

Such an amazing day. The match challenged us all to network like never before. And it warms my heart to see the outpouring of support for the Riders in Spokes. Year 8 will hard to be beaten. Much appreciated for all that gave today.

I've started moving so my road miles are improving!

Catch 22... We really need the rain; I mean the fires and the agriculture and not to mention that fall is like around the corner. But now if it's too wet to ride, and I am on my trainer getting in the miles. No stopping the pedal stroke.
