• Not sure what day
    13 Sep 2024

But i miss being on the road. Weather has had me on the Peloton the last two days. And while it’s great to get miles, it’s just not the same. And it’s nasty dripping sweat all over the bike. At least on the road it dries.

Took a rest day yesterday. Much needed. Wind is up and I feel my asthma coming on. Trying to save my energy and health for a good ride on Tuesday for the match day.

Ooh! I missed some days. I pushed myself and got over the 100-mile mark. I am exhausted. So I am giving myself a rest day, tomorrow. If I push too much I will end up sick or injured.

I’ve always envied the people who could ride in any weather.

Wet roads, some fog, Jason and Levi fishing, Lillian still in the house. Peloton it is. It kind of feels like cheating. But if that’s what it takes to get in my miles, I will do it.

    1 Sep 2024

I’ve not done the blog in past rides but I figure now is a good time.

I am a bit more prepared than in past rides but it is still tough. I remember why I am riding.

I ride for the kids who are fighting an unthinkable fight against cancer. I ride for the parents of these children.

I ride for my family members who have lost the fight. I ride for friends with family fighting right now.

I ride for my little family. I ride for my kids. I ride to show them we have to do what we can to help those who struggle.

I do it for myself. It’s not a fitness binge. I have never lost a pound in the past four Septembers. I do it to remind myself that even when I feel at a loss, I can always fight through it.

    Much love.
