Dad took us to Grants Trail and it’s 10 miles 1 way. He told me we had to do 10 miles minimum to get back on track. I said let’s do 20 then. We ended up with 21.6 and I got a Twix ice cream afterwards.
Message from Brody’s dad Eric.
I don’t remember the year because I’m not good with that but I can remember when I found out my cousin was diagnosed with brain cancer. I was heart broken because there is no cure yet and the thought of kids dying breaks my heart. Well at age 19, my cousin Bailey did pass away due to DIPG. This guy was a fighter and had the most positive outlook with his situation. Well Brody at a young age hated the thought of kids or anyone getting cancer and asked Mollie and me what he can do. Well Great Cycle Challenge USA showed up in my Facebook feed and I looked into it. Well 4yrs later, Brody and I are riding and raising money in honor of Bailey and any other kids or families that have been in similar circumstances. Today donations get matched and we are asking for your donation. Don’t do it for Brody but for the thought of helping find a cure so kids can live a full healthy life. Thank you.
I really love when we ride as sun goes down. It’s colder out and I can smell people having fires in backyards. My dad got us some headlights to help when it gets dark.
Wow my Dad and I rode 10.2 miles today. I loved that we did that because that’s our longest ride in 4yrs of riding.
My dad woke me up at 6:50am 9/1 to head to Forest Park. We rode around it and had lots of downhill spots and few up hill spots. After doing 6.74 miles we walked around zoo and then rode 1.5 miles back to vehicle. I love that we had 8 miles by 10am on Day 1.
