My GCC 2024 September ride didn’t start the way I had planned, but we are off to the race to 300 miles.
On August 24th my mother Elizabeth (88) passed away. Instead of training for the ride this year I spent the week before she passed with my family by her side. My wife and I spent the 1st day of the ride driving back to my hometown for her funeral. After a week spent with family & friends remembering her, we had to drive 650 miles back home. So my 1st full day back I jumped on my bike for my new day one of the GCC ride.
In the meantime my cousin Michelle has been going through Chemo for her cancer and my father, Raymond (86) was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer.
Cancer sucks…let’s ride!!!
