9 of our 54 team members have surpassed their personal fundraising commitments so far - you all ROCK!! Every dollar raised is one more dollar that goes to the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Even though we've hit our goal, we haven't hit our personal pledged commitments. We can do it for every child who fights every day. I am asking you to fight for them and raise some more $$!
We’ve done an incredible job raising funds for children battling cancer, and I couldn’t be prouder of each of you! 🎉 We’ve surpassed our financial goal, and it's a sign of an outstanding cycling term called ATTACK!
Let’s come together and push ourselves to ride—whether in the studio or outside—because every mile counts! Each pedal stroke brings us closer to our goal and shows our unwavering support for these brave kids.
Let’s dig deep, rally our energy, and make every ride count. Together, we can achieve something truly special! Let’s do this!
Team - 45 of you have already ridden 336 miles of our goal 5,500 miles! You are impressive. I am proud to ride along with you and hope we can be tremendous encouragement to each other. On Sunday I invited members of my spinning class to join our team and I am proud to say they are in the saddle with us. Lace up those shoes, grab your sunscreen and helmets and see you on the road (and in the studio). We believe kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Thrilled that 38 of you are riding with Team Current and have committed to help raise awareness and money to fight kids' cancer. We look forward to tracking your mileage, seeing your posts and growing our fundraising $. There's plenty of time to recruit your neighbors, relatives, customers, vendors and friends to join the GCC cause. See you outside, in the studio and online!
Riding and fundraising for the Great Cycle Challenge is a powerful way to make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. We invite you to join us.
The funds raised go to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund, which supports researchers working on innovative treatments and cures for childhood cancer. This early-stage funding is crucial as it helps researchers prove their ideas and secure larger grants.
Each year, approximately 400,000 children and adolescents (aged 0-19 years) are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. (WHO https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/cancer-in-children). In the U.S, over 15,700 children are diagnosed with cancer, and sadly, 38 children die each week.
The event brings together people of all ages and abilities from across the world. Participants set personal riding goals and challenge themselves to pedal throughout September. It’s a great way to stay active and be part of a supportive community.
The Children’s Cancer Research Fund is committed to transparency and accountability, ensuring that the funds raised are used effectively to further their mission. By riding and fundraising, you contribute to a cause that aims to create a world where all kids can live life, not fight for it.
Grab your padded shorts, gel seats and helmets and let's together give these kids the bright futures they deserve.
This September, Current is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So we are raising funds through our challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support us by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
