Jase Jett

Jase lost his right eye to retinoblastoma at age 5. His cancer has a genetic base which means research and studies need to be funded to reach a day when kids don't lose their sight or their lives to childhood cancers.

My Story

For the ninth year this September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

This year I ride in Honor of Jase Jett. Jase lost his right eye to a Retinoblastoma, a rare childhood eye cancer. By the time it was discovered he had lost (permanently) the sight in that eye.His tumor was group E which in his case required removal of the eye to save his life. He carries the gene for this disease meaning his family and his own children will have to be watched closely in the future. Today, he is cancer free and thriving as he prepares to start Kindergarten.
