Hello my name is Francesca Roberts, I was diagnosed with B Cell Acute lymphoblastic leukemia when I was 15 months old. What started out as a mild fever turned into an ER visit which turned into a life altering diagnosis. May 8 was my last chemotherapy treatment; I underwent six months of aggressive chemotherapy followed by 21 months of maintenance therapy where I received oral chemo every day, IV chemo every month, and spinal chemo every three months. Even though we are done with chemo there is still a long way to go as I now have to overcome some of the side effects caused by the treatment. I cannot jump and play as vigorously as kids my age as the meds effected the nerves in my legs and arms.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
