This year, every mile carries a very personal meaning. I’m riding for my nephew, who is facing his own battle with cancer right now. No big words, no spotlight—just love, hope, and every mile I can give him. ❤️🚴♂️ This one is for you !
My Story
Many people who know me may sometimes wonder:
Why doesn’t Danny simply stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet?
Why does he keep getting back on his little metal horse, riding mile after mile, exposing himself to traffic, fatigue, aching legs, and whatever challenges the road may bring?
The answer is simple.
Because the pain in my legs, the fatigue, and any discomfort I may experience on a bicycle are nothing compared to what cancer patients endure.
And they are not the only ones who suffer. Their families and friends suffer alongside them, living with fear, helplessness, and perhaps the hardest burden of all—the uncertainty of not knowing what tomorrow may bring.
I only pedal.
They are fighting for their lives.
That is why, once again, I am climbing onto my little metal horse to take part in the Great Cycle Challenge and contribute my small effort to a cause much greater than myself.
But the miles I ride are only one part of this challenge.
The other part depends on you.
I am asking you to ride alongside me through your donation. It does not matter whether it is large or small. Every contribution joins another, helping us turn miles, sweat, determination, and generosity into support for the fight against childhood cancer.
If the pain in my legs can help ease, even just a little, the pain of a child and the anguish of a family, I will gladly pedal every mile.
I will provide the legs.
You can help provide the hope.
For the children, for their families, and for a future in which no child has to fight cancer.
