My mother, Teressa Castro age 63 , was diagnosed with Stage 3 abdominal carcinoma of the lung cancer and had to with go six weeks of chemotherapy radiation treatment at MD Anderson.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to see her due the rise of coronavirus covid-19 cases ad she lives in Louisiana. Therefore I am trying to do what I can to help as I am the youngest and the only one to leave the nest.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated. For those that know me, I dedicate each year to a charity called Aids Life Cycle which is a 7 day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles covering 545 miles on bicycle. Every year I have raised around 6,000+ dollars in donations for the LGBT Center in LA and Aids Foundation on SF. This year is my first year signing up for the Great Cycle Challenge! I would like to match miles for donation for the woman that brought me into the world and who is fighting this illness with the upmost strength!

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
