My Story

This is my 7th year and just like the last few years, this September 2024 I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This year I am going to push to 300 miles ( yes, I did have open heart surgery this year!) and we are going to stretch our financial goal a bit to $2500.

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page in 2024!

I’d like to hit $20k and over 2000 miles ridden for the cause this year. Please share this page with friends. When people ask why this cause, it’s an easy and difficult answer. I’ve never had a child with cancer and I can’t imagine what that would be like. So, anything I can do to help that cause is my goal.

It sucked that last year (my 6th) was basically lost due to my illness and heart issues. But I’m here this year (my 7th) to fight for the cause even harder and by one of my my doctors accounts, I shouldn’t be! So TOGETHER let’s get this done.
