I’m Cycling in honor of Former students Hunter Burkhalter, and Emma Valdes who are both in remission. 🙏 praying for complete healing. And in memory of Paxton Cooper, the son of a Former Student who lost his battle with cancer 😢 😇

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

I am cycling for Hunter Burkhalter, who does not let any challenge slow him down. He has been battling cancer for over 3 years and is currently in remission. He is kind, considerate and compassionate. I was his school counselor for over 6 years. I ride for Emma Valdez who is a sweet second grader who is fighting her battle against cancer, and I cycle in memory of Paxton Cooper who lost his battle 😢

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
