This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

While I have not been personally touched by a child I know with cancer, I have lost many to the disease including my mother who died of pancreatic cancer in 2015 and a friend who died way too young of cervical cancer in 2019. My girlfriend beat breast cancer in 2020 and had surgery last fall to prevent the spread of more. My daughter's mom now battles the same disease my girlfriend did. A college classmate of mine battled his third brain tumor over the last 20 years in 2023 and 2024. Dino died in February 2025.

I ride for them and the fact that kids and cancer should never be mentioned in the same sentence. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
