My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

30 Sep 2024The 100 degree plus heat has been a real challenge this last week. I rode a difficult 30 miles today to finish my goal!! I will ride tomorrow to get a few extra miles. It would mean a great deal if I could raise some more for these kids and their families.

14 Sep 2024Reached halfway today!!! Legs feel strong. Shoulders and neck are sore. I am thinking about the purpose of this ride. Kids should never have to struggle and fight like these kids do every day. They are heroically strong and brave!!

12 Sep 2024Today was a difficult day. Lots going on business wise and feeling emotionally drained. The bike ride was a challenge to start. But, then, it was energizing!! My longest ride this year and I feel better now then before I started. Big ups to everyone keeping on keeping on. I appreciate all the support I have been receiving.

2nd day
2 Sep 2024Today, the ride was a challenge. I am sore from yesterday and didn't feel like I could ride as far as yesterday. Once I started, I actually started to feel really good. I focused on my breathing and really breathing deeply. I thought of why I am riding and the miles quickly passed. Now, I am exhausted and exhilarated. Back at it tomorrow...
