My Story

This September, for the tenth year in a row, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! It's a giant challenge, but I hope with your help to make this year as successful as the ones in the past.

This year is even more meaningful as I am riding for my granddaughter Maggie!!!

Why am I doing this even though I'm going through this little bit of a personal challenge? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

    Cycled Monday with Declan and Bruce via the veloway in South Austin!!

    Rode Tuesday with Doug K around east Austin and stoppped at Quacks for coffee and cinnamon rolls… yum!

    Maggie is responding well to her treatment!! The doctors and nurses are wonderful. We are so thrilled to see good progress.
