My Story
This September, for the tenth year in a row, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! It's a giant challenge, but I hope with your help to make this year as successful as the ones in the past.
This year is even more meaningful as I am riding for my granddaughter Maggie!!!
Why am I doing this even though I'm going through this little bit of a personal challenge? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

18 Sep 2026I’m only 12 miles from my riding goal of 400 miles but blew out my fundraising goal of $5K!!!

Maggie is responding well to the treatment protocol, thankfully!! She still has a way to go but her health is looking up!!!
As a thank you I’ll work to get to 500 miles for the month instead of 400… hope to make it :)
