This is Alexis. She also has Down Syndrome. At 5 1/2 years old she was just diagnosed with leukemia today 8/24/2022. She lives in Ohio with her mother, Dee Dee. She is now my reason to ride. You are going to fight this, sweetheart!
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
My friend's daughter Alexis was just diagnosed with Leukemia this past in August 2022 She also has Down Syndrome. She is 6 years old and she lives in Ohio. I was riding for fun but now I have a reason to ride.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
