My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Seasons Change
23 Sep 2026Another change of season without my girl by my side. Time moves differently when experiencing this type of grief.
Last year, I rode this same route and placed painted rocks in her honor. The community has kept one safe and it remains near the bench where I placed it. Seeing it overwhelmed me 😠There is so much love in this world 💖 I hope everyone can remember that as we move into a new season.

The Tough Ones
15 Sep 2026I have a strange appreciation for the tougher rides. I couldn't make it very far at all today, but really felt the need to try (I'm recovering from a respiratory infection)
This short run exhausted me. But when I feel like I've hit a wall, I think back to those days in the hospital. The grit and endurance that sweet girl summoned, daily. It reminds me why I'm out here. This hard run is nothing compared to what kids who go through treatment for cancer face. It is not the same as treatment for an adult. Not at all. They can do hard things. And so can we, in their honor.
