It's getting to be that time of year again! Last year I signed up for this as this is a cause near and dear to my heart. I hate to ask my friends and family for money but this is an excellent cause. As a pediatrician, I had several patients whose lives were saved due to cutting edge therapies that were available due to ongoing cancer research. Now retired, I have more time to devote to causes such as this. I have personally had 2 brushes with cancer in recent years (2 types, totally unrelated--go figure) and although my experience really wasn't bad compared to many, I wouldn't wish it on anyone--especially a child. Please, if you can spare it, donate to this worthy cause. Government funding is being slashed and private donations may be the only way forward for a while. Thanks.

Also, I ride all the time but the miles only count starting September 1. If you really want to motivate me to ride more, you could link your donation to a weekly mileage amount or miles in 1 day amount. I'll do my best to meet the challenge.....you can monitor me on strava.
