My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

    It’s been raining non stop for about the last 6 days. Haven’t been able to do much riding and I was stressing! This morning the sun came out for a bit and I was on the bike at 7:15 am. Hopefully I can get back on track. I’m shooting for 150 by the end of this weekend and that should put me back on track with my 300 mile goal by the end of the month. Have a great day! 🩷

    Yesterday was September 1st. We rode 15.75 miles and the GCC app wasn’t working and it didn’t track my ride. The only reason I knew how many miles I rode was that my husband also rode with me and was tracking it on his bike riding app. Hope they fix the GCC app. I seem to remember this happened last year also. Happy riding. 🚴 🚴
