This September, I am taking part in my 8th Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

For myself and Ron, September isn’t just another month—it’s a time to ride with purpose. We are pedaling every mile for children fighting to survive cancer with the Great Cycling Challenge.

No child should have to endure the pain of chemo or radiation. Many don’t even understand why their bodies are so sick. We ride for them.

We ride for the parents sitting bedside, praying for miracles, trying to explain why their little ones can’t go outside and play, can’t go to school, and—heartbreakingly—why they sometimes have to say goodbye far too soon.
