I'm Riding For
Dinny Carroll

When she was little, my daughter Maia asked me how old Auntie Dinny was when she died. When I answered, she replied "she never got to be a real grown-up?" Today, her form of leukemia is no longer a death sentence. I hope this can be the case for all pediatric cancers in the future so more kids can get to be real grown-ups.
My Story
This September, I am again taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! I am planning to ride 50 miles a week in memory of my sister Dinny. If you want to join Team Dinny, let me know. You ride on your own and set your own distance and fundraising goals. So if you need some extra motivation or have a new bike in the garage that your husband and son make fun of you for not riding, shoot me a message.
Why ride? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
I am raising funds through my challenge to support the Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Thank you.
