My dad was so under appreciated when he was alive. He worked to support a family of seven, all five of his children are college graduates and four were teachers and one was a lawyer. Dad was the workhorse and pushed us all to do our best. He deserved so much more recognition from all of us kids. He was a WW2 US Army vet and part of the greatest generation.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

“Thanks so much for your generous contribution toward fighting childhood cancer. I’m out of town from 9/6 to 9/16 so I lose 10 days of riding. My goal for Sept is 200 miles so I’m Jamming in some miles before I leave. So far 60 of the 200 miles are done and I hope to have 100 miles in before we leave on 9/6. When I ride I think about the contributions people make and those people make my ride a bit easier. Someday we won’t need to see kids with bald heads and big beautiful eyes fighting for their lives. Thanks again for your kindness.”
