I'm Riding For
Paul Swift
This year I am riding for my friend Paul. Paul Swift has spent much of his life on a bicycle—as a member of the U.S. National Cycling Team, an eight-time U.S. National Track Champion, and later as an innovator, educator, and bike fitter. He work hands-on with riders of every ability, helping them find comfort, confidence, and freedom on a bicycle. In 2009, Paul was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Today, he is cancer-free, healthy, and grateful for every opportunity to keep riding and helping others ride. Being part of Paul Ellis’s remarkable journey—from surviving a devastating stroke and being told he may never walk again to now riding a bicycle—is something Paul considers a privilege. To learn that his own cancer journey has provided even a small part of the inspiration for this effort is both deeply touching and an incredible honor.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
