My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

    It’s the end of week 3 and we’ve been riding up a storm - from fantastic canal trail rides to hard-earned peloton rides! Phew! 😅

    I’m loving all the support and encouragement that you are pouring over us as we commit to completing this challenge!

    As of today we have exceeded our mileage of 150 and are currently at 171 miles! WOW!

    First of all - thankyou so very much for all the support - we’re 1/3rd of the way through and with todays matching I’m at my $500 goal - so yes, I have upped the goal to $600 - just to see how we can continue to support the Great Cycle Challenge and kick childhood cancers butt all the way through September!

    September 1st - let’s get this challenge started!

    I’m riding 150miles in the month of September for this awesome cause - childhood cancer has touched our family circle a number of times and it’s truly devastating.

    Cancer itself has reared its very ugly head so many times within our immediate friend and family circle - and while it’s frustrating to stand by helpless - at the same time I’m proud to support and be part of the village nay army surrounding these dear warriors and be there for whatever they need.

    Been a tough week - but I’m starting September strong 💜🩵💛 🚴🏻‍♀️🎗️💯
