My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

“Our daughter was diagnosed with kidney cancer at the age of two. She had surgery to remove one kidney and chemo for one month at the beginning. After the surgery she was in the hospital for one month. After that, she was hospitalized for one week every three months in order to receive chemo treatment. This lasted for two years. She had to have chest X-rays during every visit because she had Wilm's tumor which moves from the kidneys to the lungs if it isn't stopped. The visit went from once a month during the first year, to every other month the second year, every three month the following year, etc. When she was diagnosed she was given a small chance of survival. Somehow she survived and is now 60 years old. She was told she could not have children. She had two. At the time of her diagnosis, she was given just a 20% chance of survival. So, there are miracles when it comes to cancer treatment. Your challenge is much appreciated. Good luck with your fundraiser.”
