A few years ago, cancer changed my life in ways I never could have imagined. It challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally, and there were moments when I wasn’t sure what the future was going to look like. Going through cancer taught me how fragile life can be, but it also showed me just how much strength we can find when we refuse to give up.

I was fortunate enough to beat cancer, and coming out on the other side gave me a completely different perspective on life. I know what it feels like to be scared, to face uncertainty, and to wonder if you’re going to make it through. That experience is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Now, I’m riding my bike for a purpose that means more to me than simply reaching the finish line. I’m riding to support children who are fighting cancer and the families standing beside them. These kids are facing something no child should ever have to face, and I want them to know that they are not alone.

Every mile I ride represents hope. Every hill represents the battles these children are fighting. Every mile that hurts reminds me of how fortunate I am to have been given another chance at life. I may not be able to take away their pain or fight their battle for them, but I can ride for them. I can raise awareness, show my support, and help contribute to giving these kids the resources and hope they deserve.

I ride because I survived. I ride because I remember what it feels like to fight. And most importantly, I ride because every child battling cancer deserves the opportunity to grow up, chase their dreams, and experience the life they are fighting so hard to keep.

This journey is bigger than me. It’s about turning something painful from my past into something meaningful for someone else’s future. If my miles can help give even one child hope, then every mile is worth it.
