I'm Riding For

Rudolph J Mixson Jr.

My dad wasn't a child when he passed from cancer in 1997, but it was still a life taken too soon. He wasn't able to watch his granddaughters grow up to the incredible young women they are today. He didn't get to witness one of his granddaughters stand with her husband, Nick, as he battled cancer twice and beat it (did you see that? TWICE). Riding is my way to help raise funds for needed research into new treatments to help kids live their lives to the fullest.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because by riding I can help contribute to this cause. Cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
