My Story

This is my seventh year doing this challenge. The first year (2019) was for my Mom and her sisters. My mom passed away earlier that year from a stroke. She "beat" cancer (double mastectomy). The next year was for my Dad who has kidney disease and bone cancer, he passed away in 2023. Next was a friend of mine who has been fighting Leukemia since 2016. Then, another good friend who passed in 2015. 5th year I missed last year as I didn't get a reminder. So this year, I'm reminded of so many people touched by cancer.

This Wednesday (Sept 9) is Kick Cancer's Butt Day!

On this Wednesday, any donation will be augmented to a degree. There is a pot of monies and it will be distributed percentagewise with respect to all donations on this day. I think usually, there is at least a 25% bump from the match.
