My Story

This is my seventh year doing this challenge. The first year (2019) was for my Mom and her sisters. My mom passed away earlier that year from a stroke. She "beat" cancer (double mastectomy). The next year was for my Dad who has kidney disease and bone cancer, he passed away in 2023. Next was a friend of mine who has been fighting Leukemia since 2016. Then, another good friend who passed in 2015. 5th year I missed last year as I didn't get a reminder. So this year, I'm reminded of so many people touched by cancer.

  • Cycling Goal

    Hey y'all!

    Some might be wondering why my cycling total is currently 0. Well, given my knees and ankle, I have to dose my efforts. The first weekend, we were in Wisconsin for the Notre Dame game. This weekend, I'm volunteering with the local Korn Ferry Tour event. Once the golf tournament is over, I should be able to get on the bike and get some miles under my belt.

    Today, any donation will be augmented to a degree. There is a pot of monies and it will be distributed percentagewise with respect to all donations on this day. I think usually, there is at least a 25% bump from the match.
