This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer. This is my second year and I am riding in honor of my Granddaughter Brooke once again. I will also be riding in honor of two colleague’s family members. A granddaughter of a long time friend and nursing colleague, and a son of one of my current friends and colleagues at Mayo. These two young teens are actively being treated for their respective cancers. Our family feels so blessed for the care Brooke has received at Mayo Clinic. My colleagues are in the midst of their kiddos journeys. I want to honor these kids and work towards a cure so no other child or family has to endure the unimaginable

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
