This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This will be my sixth year riding to kick children cancers butt!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Back in 1960, my brother, Timmy was one of those children who was diagnosed with cancer (leukemia) and he died in 1961 at the age of 4. The pain my parents went through of saying good-bye to their first child was so painful. I read in my mother's journal after she passed away, "The day Timmy passed away was the worst day of her life." It could have tore their marriage apart as it was as painful for my father. She wrote, "It brought them closer together."

That was in the 1960's, we are in 2024! Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. Research need to find a treatment for children and find a cure! Children Cancer Research is doing their part to help the children to give them a brighter future they deserve. I am trying to do my part even its small, but together we can make a difference.

Like I said in my statement, I only shared this on FaceBook because a friend asked me to as he wanted to donate to this cause. He believes in it for personal reason too.
