James Fagan

James Fagan

This is my little friend, James. He just turned 8 and started 2nd grade. He was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor called anaplastic oligodendroglioma when he was 6 months old, and in his first five years of life, had 4 brain surgeries, multiple strokes and many seizures. He has been stable for the last three years in terms of tumor growth, however he has health issues that will last a lifetime. James will need eye surgery later this year to correct his eye muscles which have weakened due to his radiation effects and his stroke damage. But he’s a happy boy who is full of love and loves his family and being at school. This is what the GCC is all about, fighting childhood cancer. No one, especially a beautiful, happy child should have to deal with this terrible disease. Any help you can provide will make a difference for James and children like him. Thanks.

My Story

16 Aug 2026

No child should have to fight cancer. So it's time, once again, to raise funds to fight this disease during the Great Cycle Challenge.

During this fundraiser in the last 11 years, I've ridden over 5,400 miles and, through your generous support, raised over $246,000.00. The overall fundraiser has raised over $87,000,000.00. Thanks in advance for your amazing support.

My goal this year is at least 35,000.00. I think we can do it.

So, it's time to saddle up again. Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
