Did you know that kids' cancers don't only impact kids? We have a friend in her 20s who was diagnosed with a cancer normally seen in children. Despite her age, she is being treated by the wonderful people at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis because that's where the expertise is for the cancer that is attacking her. Will you do your part to help the Children's Cancer Research Fund support cancer research, help children and families currently fighting cancer and educate the world about what we can do to create a world without childhood cancer? This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

I had the privilege of riding a beautiful trail along the Fox River today with a good friend who helped push me to complete 50 miles in windy conditions. THANK YOU, STEVE! It was great to wrap up the 400 mile Great Cycle Challenge with a couple days to spare and it was a good lesson in the importance of having somebody at your side when trying to accomplish a difficult task.

Thank you to all of the sponsors who gave so generously to support the life saving work being done by the Children's Cancer Research Fund. Together we're helping kids who desperately need support from others!

I'm a little short of hitting my donations goal of $1,500, but I know there is a donation coming in soon that will put the total over the goal. Another friend I spent some time with today has raised more that $12,000 during the Great Cycle Challenge ... how amazing is that?
